Typically Methadone will NOT be prescribed or administered. Most opiate abusers who are suffering from withdrawals must do it "cold turkey" and a nurse will monitor your vitals closely. But you must advise the jail of your issue at booking. Certain Rx drugs are "blacklisted" and your RX must be on the jails approved list of medications. Even if you have it in your possession at the time of arrest. Most Schedule I or II narcotics are not administered in jail.
